An application for downloading and storing free texts
from Project Gutenberg. Project Gutenberg is a
project to make books available for free download. The last time i checked it
had over 4000 texts available (total size of approximately 2 gigabytes!).
ELibrary downloads the latest index of texts from Project
Gutenberg and lets you download and store them locally
(not ALL of them... just the ones you choose). Browse
books by author, title or size! Once files are stored
locally, double clicking will open them in the viewer
of your choice.

Asynchronous downloading - for reading the texts. Downloads are also resumable.

Export - downloaded files are safely stored in their own directory, and can be exported as text or html files.
