Usefulness and Reliability
Well, this is an interesting one, since i use it very frequently to manage this site. It is one of those applications that a programmer writes for himself, where whatever occurs to me as a useful thing i put in without thinking too much about whether it will appeal to the average user (or even make sense).
I've come to notice that there is a need for an all-in-one entry level site editing program, since stuff like Dreamweaver is both expensive and intimidating.
In its current form i consider HTML Editor very appropriate to my needs, although i don't really fancy training anyone to use it. It is simple but a little wierd, and could use some user-friendliness.
Known Bugs
- fix table row / column creation crash (seems to only happen under Win2000)
- add custom CHM dialog for ajusting window settings etc
- back/forward functionality is a bit crappy in preview mode
